Can you "Spare Some Time, Any Time?"

The problem with most voluntary work is that the volunteers are expected or even contracted to do a minimum amount of work or give a minimum amount of time per peek etc but at JFD we just ask that people give "Some Time Any Time" if they don't visit for weeks that's ok we just want people to give "Some Time Any Time" it's your call, it's always up to you.

As with most charitable organisations we rely heavily on charitable donations and the essential work our volunteers provide by way of active work or support.

JFD struggles with 3 key types of voluntary work.

Dog Walking

We always need people who can spare some time, any time to help us with the doggie's exercise. We need people everyday between 8.00am and 11.00am to come along and help with this most rewarding input, and we are the cheapest gymnasium in the country and membership is free albeit that we only offer "walking" exercise!

Kennel Work

If you prefer to 'roll your sleeves up' and get 'stuck in', then why not volunteer your self for kennel cleaning. It is not the menial task many think, but a rewarding job when well done. As with dog walking the hours are 8.00am till 11.00am eight days a week - that's right IT'S NEVER DONE!!

Help With Fund-Raising Events

If you can spare time in the run up too and/or with events themselves we desperately require your assistance. From arranging the 'shop' to running a book stall/tombola or nearly new stall the list of tasks is never ending. When running stalls away from the centre, help with ferrying saleable items to and fro is always invaluable.
