Pip is looking for a new home

Pip

Age: Approx 4 years old
Breed: Terrier Cross
Notes: Arrived at JFD November 2003.

Like Rosie I arrived at JFD after being frightened by fireworks. I am a problem dog in so much as I am quite a timid boy who feels the need to put on a brave face and guard anyone and anything I consider to be mine.

I appear such a sweetie in kennels and I never put a foot wrong. I think its because I feel safe here because the people who look after me are firm but extremely kind and I know they are more than capable of looking after themselves, they clearly don't need my help which is a huge relief to me!

I have had several homes since being at JFD. The first night in my first home I jumped on my owner's bed and wouldn't let her get on the bed with me. This meant she had to sleep downstairs on the settee all night. Understandably she wasn't very pleased and the next morning she telephoned her son to come and collect me to return me to JFD.

What a spoil sport she was! The second home I behaved myself a little better and managed to stay for four days, but then I started jumping onto the armchair which was situated in the bay window. This made me feel much bigger than I was and a would bark furiously at anybody who dared to walk down the path. That appeared to be acceptable to my 'mum', what was not acceptable was that I nipped her when she tried to get me down! This resulted in me being returned to JFD again! Two more homes have followed since but unfortunately I have blotted my copy book with both of these too. Still I am truly happy at JFD, like I said before I feel safe here, I have daily walks and two lady's often come to call for me to take me on a nice long walk with their three dogs, all adopted from JFD.
